Terms of Use
These terms are an agreement between you and HAOTONG TECHNOLOGY (HK) CO., LIMITED ("we", "us"), the publisher of PetCare. By creating an account or using the app you accept them and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
1. Who can use the app
You must be at least 13 years old, and old enough in your country to accept these terms (or have a parent's permission). You are responsible for your account and for what happens on it. Keep access to your email and sign-in provider secure.
2. The AI assistant
Answers are generated automatically by third-party AI models. They can be incomplete, out of date or simply wrong, even when they sound confident. Check important information with a veterinarian before acting on it, especially about medicines, doses, diet changes or symptoms. Do not enter sensitive personal information in the chat; see the Privacy Policy for how messages are handled. We may limit how many messages you can send.
3. Acceptable use
Do not:
- break the law or use the app to harm people or animals;
- try to get around usage limits, access other people's accounts, or disrupt, probe or overload our servers;
- scrape the service, use it to build a competing product, or resell access to it;
- use the assistant to generate content that is illegal, hateful, harassing or sexually explicit;
- reverse engineer the app except where the law allows it.
4. Your content
Your pet records and notes are yours. Most of them stay on your device; you are responsible for keeping copies you care about. You give us the permission needed to process the messages you send to the assistant in order to answer them and run the service, as described in the Privacy Policy.
5. Our app
The app, its design and content belong to us or our licensors. We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the app for your own non-commercial purposes under these terms. The app is currently free. We may change, add or remove features, or stop the service, at any time.
If you downloaded the app from the Apple App Store, Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies, and Apple is not responsible for the app or its support. The same applies to Google for Google Play.
6. Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time in the app (Settings → Delete account and data). We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts the service or other people at risk. When an account is deleted, its server data is deleted as described in the Privacy Policy.
7. No warranty
The app is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we make no promises that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that its information (including AI answers, weather, places and maps) is accurate or complete.
8. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, for loss of data, or for any harm to you or your pet resulting from relying on the app or its AI answers instead of a veterinarian. Our total liability for any claim related to the app is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or 100 US dollars. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your rights as a consumer under the law of your country.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will change the date above and, for significant changes, tell you in the app. If you keep using the app after a change, the new terms apply.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. Disputes go to the courts of Hong Kong, unless the law of your country gives you the right to bring a claim where you live.
